Greetings everyone! Welcome back, and hello to new students, to Bret Harte Middle School. I am your new art teacher Mr. Jack. Let's get to know one another by telling stories and listening to them.  We shall start off with some videos from very contemporary artists making big changes in the way we think about art wand what is can do. Contemporary means-living or happening at the same time.

Borderline is in the research phase of work towards a September 2018 installation at OpenSignal PDX.Borderline maps the intersections between Climate Change, Mass Migration and Surveillance. Although Borderline is in an early phase of work, I hope this teaser suggests some of the interesting associations that emerge when surveillance video and live performance are combined through live programming with content generated by US agencies charged with monitoring climate change, such as NOAA, the USFS, and NASA.vimeo.com/247564378
